Description

This lot consists of 48 rounds of .303 British centerfire rifle ammunition produced by the Hellenic Powder and Cartridge Company (HXP) in Greece. The ammunition is designated as Mark 7Z ball, characterized by pointed full metal jacket projectiles and non-corrosive propellant. The cartridges feature rimmed brass cases with purple sealant visible at the case necks. The ammunition is contained in its original tan cardboard box with a printed Greek label that transcribes verbatim as 48 ΦΥΣΙΓΓΙΑ ΔΙΑΜΕΤΡΗΜΑΤΟΣ 0.303 inch ΚΟΙΝΗΣ ΒΟΛΙΔΟΣ MK 7Z ΕΙΣ ΚΥΤΙΑ, which translates to 48 cartridges, .303 caliber, common bullet (ball) Mk 7Z, in boxes. Additional markings on the package include ΜΕΡΙΣ-42 identifying Lot 42 and HXP-75 indicating a production date of 1975. The internal arrangement of the ammunition shows the top layer of cartridges in alternating base-up and bullet-up orientations, consistent with standard factory packing for this quantity.

Condition report:

The ammunition appears to be in very good surplus condition. The brass cases are clean with minimal oxidation or tarnish, and the projectiles show no visible signs of corrosion. The primer sealant remains intact across the visible rounds. The cardboard packaging shows typical signs of shelf wear, including minor fraying at the edges and a small tear on one side flap, but remains structurally sound and the printed label is fully legible.
