Nagoya Arsenal Arisaka Type 99 Sporterized Bolt Action Rifle 7.7x58mm Arisaka

Description
This is a sporterized Japanese Arisaka Type 99 bolt action rifle, originally chambered in 7.7x58mm Arisaka. The rifle features a blued barrel and receiver, with the metal components showing a deep blued finish with thinning and silvering noted on the bolt handle and trigger guard. The receiver ring shows evidence of the Imperial chrysanthemum being ground off and is clearly marked with the Japanese characters 九九式 for Type 99. The left side of the receiver is stamped with the serial number 91667 followed by the Nagoya Arsenal mark of three overlapping circles. The rifle has been restocked in a custom sporter wood stock featuring a raised cheek rest, a black forend tip, and a White Line branded ventilated rubber recoil pad. Sighting is provided by a Lyman receiver-mounted aperture rear sight and a hooded post front sight. Please note that the rifle is missing its internal magazine components and no accessories or ruler are present. The bolt action appears to cycle correctly, but the firearm has not been function-tested for safety or firing. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued metal finish remains largely intact, showing approximately 85 percent coverage with prominent wear and thinning on the bolt knob, trigger guard, and receiver edges. The custom wood stock shows scattered dings, surface scratches, and minor compression marks consistent with field use, though it remains structurally sound. The Lyman rear sight and hooded front sight appear in good condition. The ventilated recoil pad is intact but shows some hardening. The bore was not inspected. The action appears to function smoothly. Internal magazine components are missing.
