This lot comprises 79 rounds of Remington High Velocity 7mm Mauser (7×57) centerfire ammunition. The collection includes 140 grain pointed soft point bullets designed for sporting and hunting applications. The rounds are contained within four vintage green and yellow cardboard boxes, three of which appear full, totaling 79 rounds as provided by the consignor. The cartridges feature brass casings with pointed soft point projectiles. Key markings on the boxes include the manufacturer name Remington, the caliber designation 7 mm Mauser (7×57), the bullet specification 140 GR. POINTED SOFT PT., and the product code R7MSR1. The headstamps on the brass casings are clearly marked with the characters R – P and 7MM MAUSER, indicating production by Remington-Peters. The top of each box is also marked High Velocity 20 CENTERFIRE CARTRIDGES.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in very good condition, with the brass casings appearing bright and free from significant corrosion or heavy oxidation. The primers are intact and the cartridges appear to be live. The vintage green and yellow cardboard packaging shows significant shelf wear, including scuffing to the surfaces, fraying and softening at the edges, and some corner compression. One of the boxes has a handwritten price of 19.95 in black marker on the front face. The internal plastic trays are present and functional for holding the cartridges.
