Norinco Type 56 SKS Semi-Automatic Rifle 7.62x39mm with 20 Inch Barrel

Description
This Chinese Norinco Type 56 semi-automatic rifle is chambered in 7.62x39mm and is configured with a 20 inch barrel. The rifle features a blued steel finish on the receiver and barrel, accented by a bright, polished bolt carrier. The furniture consists of a glossy-finished wood stock with a semi-pistol grip and a matching upper handguard. For sighting, the firearm retains its original hooded post front sight and tangent rear sight, but has been enhanced with an aftermarket Picatinny-style rail mounted directly to the receiver cover. Additional modifications include a slotted muzzle brake and a black rubber recoil pad fitted over the buttstock. Verbatim markings on the left side of the receiver include a rectangular factory code 0134 followed by the Chinese characters 五六式 and the serial number 24001211. An import mark on the receiver is transcribed as SKS 7.62X39 NORINCO CHINA CSI ONT CA. Partial serial number 1211 is visible on the stock, trigger guard, and magazine floorplate. Note that the original folding bayonet has been removed, although the mounting lug remains on the barrel assembly. A green canvas sling is included. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces retain a high percentage of their original blued finish, showing only minor edge wear and light handling marks. The polished bolt carrier exhibits some light surface spotting and discoloration. The wood stock is in good condition with a bright, glossy finish, displaying typical dings and light scratches consistent with surplus handling. The bore was not inspected. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm.
