Verbatim box markings include AMERICAN EAGLE, By Federal Cartridge Company, and the product number A76239A, with additional text specifying 20 RIFLE CARTRIDGES and 20 CARTOUCHES. The end flaps of the boxes are marked 7.62 X 39mm SOVIET and 124 GR. METAL CASE BULLET or 124 GRAIN FULL METAL JACKET. The cartridge headstamps are transcribed as FC at the twelve o’clock position and 7.62×39 at the six o’clock position. Each box is equipped with two red plastic organizing trays, each designed to hold ten individual rounds.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in very good condition, with the brass cases remaining bright and showing no signs of corrosion or significant tarnish. The copper-jacketed bullets are clean without oxidation. The cardboard boxes exhibit moderate shelf wear consistent with age, including scuffing to the printed surfaces, edge fraying, and minor corner dings, though all remain structurally intact. The ammunition appears to be live factory-original stock.
