Description

This is a single sporterized Swiss K31 straight-pull bolt-action rifle chambered in 7.5x55mm. The firearm features a blued steel barrel and receiver mounted into a modified military wooden stock that has been cut down to a sporter configuration with side finger grooves and a semi-pistol grip. The rifle is equipped with a characteristic straight-pull bolt action including a brown phenolic bolt handle and a ring-style cocking piece, but it is notably missing its original military front and rear sights. A detachable box magazine is present, though it is stamped with a different serial number from the rest of the rifle. Verbatim markings on the barrel and receiver include the serial number 242923, a capital N, a capital B, a B and P within a circle, a Swiss cross, and an M within a shield. The wooden stock is marked on the top near the buttplate with BERN and the number 130097. The metal buttplate is stamped with a Swiss cross and S 25, while the magazine bears the number 258728. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The rifle is in fair to good condition, showing typical signs of use and age. The blued finish on the barrel and receiver exhibits thinning, particularly at the high edges, with areas of minor surface oxidation and light scratches. The wooden stock shows numerous dings, indentations, and handling marks throughout, consistent with its age and conversion for sporting use. The bore was not inspected, but the action appears to cycle smoothly; we have not function-tested this firearm. Both the front and rear sights have been removed, leaving the barrel bare. The magazine is mismatched to the receiver serial number.
