Sold for: $110
Description
This lot consists of sixty rounds of Swiss military GP11 rifle ammunition chambered in 7.5x55mm. The collection is comprised of six individual white cardboard boxes, each containing ten rounds. The packaging features identification text in three languages, specifically Gewehrpatrone 11 in German, cartouche 11 pour fusil in French, and cartuccia 11 per fucile in Italian. Each box is prominently printed with the number 591-1100 and the caliber designation 7,5 mm GP 11. Shaded bands on the lower portion of the boxes contain varied lot and date codes, including two boxes marked 5.10.78A, three boxes marked 30.11.78 T, and one box marked 16. 5. 78A, indicating 1978 manufacture. This ammunition is characterized by a 174-grain lead core full metal jacket boat-tail projectile, designed for high-precision use in Schmidt-Rubin series rifles such as the K11 and K31.
Condition report:
The cardboard packaging is in good condition, showing light shelf wear, minor corner rounding, and slight age-related yellowing. The boxes remain intact with no significant tearing or moisture damage. The ammunition appears to be live and well-preserved within the closed boxes; cases show no signs of corrosion or significant oxidation based on external visual inspection.
