Description

This lot consists of a total of 44 rounds of Finnish 7.62x54mmR rifle ammunition, also known as 7.62x53R, manufactured by the State Cartridge Factory. The collection includes three vintage cardboard storage boxes and three 5-round steel charger clips. Two of the boxes feature pinkish-orange labels with Finnish text reading 15 PATRUUNAA / Kiv. Kovia / Kal. 7,62 m/m. / Siteissä / Valtion Patruunatehdas, indicating they originally contained 15 rounds of live rifle ammunition on clips. The third box is plain cardboard hand-stamped with the text Vajalaatu / 15 kpl. / 7,62 kiv. patr. / Ilman siteitä / Luoti: D, denoting second-quality 7.62mm rifle cartridges supplied without clips and utilizing the D-type heavy ball bullet. The cartridges are comprised of rimmed brass cases fitted with silver-colored cupronickel-jacketed bullets. One of the charger clips is marked with a triangle enclosing a character resembling an A or S, and another clip features a triangle containing an internal arrow or chevron mark. Note – As a lot of ammunition rather than a firearm, this item does not require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The ammunition and packaging exhibit condition issues consistent with age and long-term storage. Multiple brass cases show visible greenish verdigris and oxidation, particularly around the case mouths and shoulders. The silver-colored bullet jackets display varying levels of surface tarnish and darkening. The three steel charger clips show patches of light surface rust and finish loss. The cardboard boxes show shelf wear, discoloration, and minor fraying to the edges and corners. This ammunition is sold as a collectible item and has not been tested for functionality.
