Description

This lot contains twenty-nine rounds of .303 British ammunition, comprising a variety of military surplus cartridges including full metal jacket and tracer loads. The collection is divided between two separate boxes and several loose cartridges. One cardboard box features a printed label stating Mil-Surp Ammo 303 British 174gr FMJ 20/box with the word Pakistani handwritten at the top. A second group is housed in a box wrapped in clear plastic with a handwritten note identifying the contents as SOUTH AFRICAN GII TRACER 1943-1944 Cordite Corrosive 9 ea. The loose cartridges display headstamps that transcribe verbatim as U 1944 G II and feature distinctive red or purple primer sealant consistent with tracer identification. The brass cases show varying degrees of age-related tarnishing and minor surface oxidation. This ammunition represents mid-20th century military surplus and is presented in its found condition within original or period-appropriate packaging.

Condition report:

The ammunition is in good surplus condition overall. The brass cases exhibit minor surface tarnishing and oxidation typical of their age and storage history. Primers are securely seated, and the tracer rounds retain their original colored sealant. The cardboard packaging is aged with visible wear, tearing, and adhesive residue from tape. Based on the handwritten notations and manufacturing dates, this ammunition should be considered corrosive and is being sold for its historical interest or collection value.
