Description

This is a sporterized Springfield Armory Model 1903 bolt-action rifle chambered in .30-06 Springfield, configured for hunting and sporting use. The rifle features a blued barrel and receiver with a contrasting polished bolt body and handle. It is mounted in a custom Fajen wood stock with a high-gloss finish, featuring a Monte Carlo comb, a left-side cheekpiece, and a textured black composite buttplate. The sighting system includes a Williams-brand adjustable rear leaf sight mounted on a barrel boss and a ramped front sight with a gold-tone bead. A standout custom feature is the gold-toned floorplate, which is intricately engraved with a scene of a buck in a forest surrounded by oak leaf patterns. Key markings include the receiver ring stamped U.S. / SPRINGFIELD / ARMORY / MODEL 1903. and the serial number 1481988. The rear sight is marked WILLIAMS and the buttplate is embossed with the FAJEN manufacturer name. The rifle retains its military-style bolt stop and safety mechanism. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.

Condition report:

The rifle is in very good sporterized condition. The blued finish on the barrel and receiver is well-maintained, showing only minor thinning at the muzzle and high edges from light handling. The custom Fajen stock retains a deep high-gloss luster with a few scattered superficial dings and minor scratches consistent with field use. The gold-toned finish on the engraved floorplate is bright with minimal wear to the highlights. The bore was not inspected but the action appears to function smoothly and the bolt cycles correctly. We have not function-tested this firearm.
