One World War II era German Mauser Karabiner 98k (K98k) rifle stock assembly. The main stock body is constructed of laminate wood, likely beech or birch, and finished in a dark tone. The upper handguard is a mismatched solid wood component of a significantly lighter color. This assembly includes the laminate stock, solid wood upper handguard, steel recoil lug, front barrel band with integrated bayonet lug and sling swivel, and a flat metal buttplate. No manufacturer codes or Waffenamt ordnance stamps are clearly legible in the provided photographs. The components are currently held together with blue painter’s tape and plastic zip ties for storage and inventory purposes.
