Lot 659:
Norinco SKS Semi-Automatic Rifle 7.62x39mm with 20 Inch Barrel
Sold for: $650
Description
This is a Chinese-manufactured SKS semi-automatic rifle chambered in the 7.62x39mm cartridge, currently housed in a tactical aftermarket furniture configuration. The rifle features a 20 inch barrel with a standard blued finish and a polished steel bolt carrier. The traditional wooden stock has been replaced with a black polymer side-folding stock system that includes an integrated pistol grip and a ventilated upper handguard, with checkering and texturing applied to the primary grip areas for increased control. Sighting is provided by a hooded front post and a rear sliding tangent sight graduated to 1,000 meters. The firearm is equipped with a detachable high-capacity curved magazine and retains its original bayonet lug, though the folding spike or blade bayonet is missing. Verbatim markings on the left side of the receiver include SKS 7.62X39MM MADE IN CHINA BY CGA and IMPORTED BY GLNIC LA-CA C7 9100389. The bolt carrier is stamped with the matching partial serial number 00389. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces retain a high percentage of their original blued finish, showing only light handling marks and minor thinning at the muzzle and high edges of the receiver. The polished bolt carrier is bright with very minor points of surface oxidation. The aftermarket polymer stock and handguard are in good condition with scattered light scuffing but no cracks or significant damage. The folding mechanism and magazine release appear to function correctly. The action appears to function correctly when cycled manually; however, we have not function-tested this firearm. The bore was not inspected.
