Lot 720:
A Lot of 150 Rounds of Remington and Herter's .30 Carbine Ammunition
Sold for: $150
Description
This lot consists of a total of 150 rounds of .30 Carbine ammunition distributed across three 50-round boxes. The group includes one box of Remington UMC centerfire rifle cartridges featuring 110-grain metal case projectiles and brass casings. The brass casings are headstamped with R-P at the top and 30 CARB at the bottom, and the packaging is marked MADE IN U.S.A. with a handwritten retail price tag. The remaining 100 rounds are housed in two 50-round boxes of Herter’s International Select Grade ammunition. These cartridges utilize 110-grain full metal jacket bullets, non-corrosive Berdan primers, and steel casings. The steel casings are headstamped with 30 CARBINE along the rim and a stylized circular manufacturer logo, with the boxes marked MADE IN RUSSIA. All rounds are organized in their original trays within the cardboard packaging.
Condition report:
The ammunition appears to be in good, functional condition. The brass-cased Remington rounds maintain a clean finish with no significant oxidation or tarnishing. The steel-cased Herter\'s rounds exhibit a consistent gray finish with no visible signs of rust or corrosion. The projectiles are securely seated and appear undamaged. The cardboard boxes show moderate shelf wear, including scuffing, edge wear, and minor tears, though they remain structurally sound enough to contain the cartridges.
