Sold for: $850
Description
A single Swiss K31 straight-pull bolt-action carbine chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss, a highly regarded service arm known for its precision and unique action. This example features a 25.6 inch barrel with a blued finish on the receiver and barrel, contrasted by a polished bolt assembly. The receiver ring is prominently engraved with the Swiss cross within a shield. Verbatim markings include the serial number 587534 on the receiver, bolt, and detachable box magazine. The barrel shank is stamped with a partial number 534 along with a Swiss cross over an M and a P proof mark. A faint import mark on the left side of the receiver reads CDI Swan VT K31. The carbine is fitted with an attractive well-figured wood stock and includes a leather sling and a brass muzzle cap. Sighting is provided by a front blade and a rear tangent sight graduated from 100 to 1,500 meters. The action appears to function correctly, although the firearm has not been function-tested. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The carbine is in excellent overall condition, retaining most of its original blued finish with only minimal thinning and light handling marks. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The wood stock is very good to excellent, showing attractive figure and only minor surface dings and compressions consistent with careful military storage and use. The mechanical action operates smoothly. The leather sling remains supple with light age-related wear, and the brass muzzle cap shows a consistent light patina.
