Description

This lot features five original paper-wrapped bundles containing approximately 100 rounds of Soviet 7.62x54mmR military surplus ammunition. Each bundle typically holds 20 rounds of 7.62x54r, a caliber used in standard Soviet small arms such as the Mosin-Nagant rifle, Dragunov sniper rifle, and PKM machine gun. The cartridges consist of copper-washed steel cases and full metal jacket spitzer-type projectiles, consistent with Soviet light ball ammunition. The headstamps on the cartridges display the factory code 17 at the top, identifying the Barnaul Cartridge Plant, and the year code 87 at the bottom, indicating manufacture in 1987. The bundles are hand-wrapped in heavy brown utility paper and secured with natural twine.

Condition report:

The ammunition bundles are in good military surplus condition. The original paper wrapping is intact but shows handling wear, minor staining, and creasing consistent with long-term storage. The individual cartridges exhibit an age-appropriate patina and minor surface oxidation on the copper-washed cases. Projectiles are clean and appear securely seated.
