Description
This Swiss Model 1931 (K31) straight-pull bolt-action carbine is chambered in 7.5x55mm Swiss and configured for military service. The firearm features a 25.7 inch barrel and a blued steel finish on the receiver and major metal components. The receiver is topped with a tangent rear sight graduated from 100 to 1500 meters. The carbine is mounted in a full-length wood stock featuring a semi-pistol grip and a metal buttplate. This example features a detachable box magazine and a brown leather sling. Key markings include the Swiss federal cross within a shield on the top of the receiver and the serial number 628540 on the left side of the receiver. The serial number 628540 is also stamped on the bolt and the bottom of the magazine, indicating a matching-numbers example. The barrel breech area is marked with the serial number 628540, a capital letter P, and a small Swiss cross over an M. The action appears to function correctly, but we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal components retain a significant amount of their blued finish, with wear visible on high edges, the bolt handle, and the muzzle. The metal buttplate shows significant finish wear and surface oxidation. The wood stock is in good overall condition but displays numerous scratches, dings, and handling marks consistent with military use. The bore was not visually inspected. The leather sling is intact with some cracking and age-related wear. The action cycles smoothly and the magazine fits securely.
