Description
This Thompson/Center Arms Contender is a single-shot, break-action pistol chambered in .22 K-Hornet, a versatile configuration favored for precision target shooting and small game hunting. The firearm features a 10-inch blued octagonal-to-round barrel fitted with a ramp front sight and an adjustable leaf rear sight, which is currently bypassed by a mounted Bushnell Elite 3200 variable power scope featuring a duplex reticle and original lens covers. The blued steel receiver displays the characteristic cougar engraving on both sides and houses an adjustable trigger assembly. The furniture consists of a two-piece set of high-gloss finished wood with checkering on both the forearm and the ergonomic pistol grip. Verbatim barrel markings include THOMPSON : CENTER ARMS ROCHESTER, N.H. and the caliber designation 22 K-HORNET. The serial number 32807 is stamped clearly on the top rear of the frame. The action appears to function correctly, providing a tight lock-up. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The pistol is in very good condition, retaining approximately 95% or more of its original blued finish with only minor handling marks and light wear at the pivot points. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The high-gloss wood stocks are in excellent shape, showing crisp checkering and no significant dings, scratches, or cracks. The Bushnell optic has clear glass and the adjustment dials operate smoothly. All mechanical components appear to be in good working order.
