Description
This is a single-action revolver, a reproduction of the 1873 model manufactured by F.lli Pietta in Italy for Charles Daly. Chambered in .45 Long Colt, the firearm features a 7.5-inch barrel with a polished stainless steel finish throughout the frame, cylinder, and barrel. The furniture consists of white PVC grips featuring inset Charles Daly CD logo medallions. The sighting system is the traditional fixed blade front and grooved top strap rear. Verbatim markings on the left side of the barrel include the characters Charles Daly and CAL. .45LC, while the underside of the ejector rod housing is stamped KBI-HBG,PA F.LLI PIETTA-ITALY. The serial number E10006 is clearly stamped on the bottom of the frame forward of the trigger guard, accompanied by Italian proof marks including a BZ date code indicating 2005 production. The revolver is accompanied by its original factory box, an instruction and safety manual, a STOP safety hangtag, and a descriptive manufacturer card. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in excellent overall condition, retaining nearly all of its polished stainless steel finish with only minimal handling marks and a very light cylinder turn line. The bore is bright and clean with sharp rifling. The action appears to function correctly with solid lockup and timing, though it has not been function tested with live ammunition. The white PVC grips are in excellent condition with no cracks or chips. The original box shows light shelf wear and edge scuffs but remains structurally sound.
