Lot 1056:
Description
This Winchester Model 94 is a lever-action carbine chambered in .30-30 Winchester, specifically configured in the Antique model style produced in the early 1970s. The firearm features a 20-inch round barrel with a full-length tubular magazine, both of which retain a deep factory blued finish. The receiver is finished in a vivid color case hardening and is further distinguished by factory-style scroll engraving on both sides and a brass-plated saddle ring on the left side. The furniture is composed of a smooth walnut straight-grip stock and a matching forend, ending in a black checkered buttplate embossed with the Winchester Repeating Arms logo. Sights include a hooded front post on a ramp and an adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight. The barrel is marked Winchester – ® – Model 94 30-30 Win. and Made in New Haven, Conn. U.S.A. Winchester Proof Steel, and the Winchester proof mark is present on the top of the barrel and receiver. The serial number 3885962 is clearly stamped on the underside of the receiver. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The carbine is in excellent condition, appearing to have been very well-preserved. The factory bluing on the barrel and magazine tube is strong with no significant wear or thinning. The color case hardening on the receiver is exceptionally vibrant with no visible fading. The walnut stock and forend are in excellent condition, showing only very minor handling marks. The bore is bright with sharp rifling, and the action appears to function smoothly and correctly.
