Description
The Savage 64 Precision is a semi-automatic rimfire rifle chambered in .22 LR, designed for precision target shooting and recreational use. This firearm features a 16.5-inch heavy barrel with a threaded muzzle and knurled thread protector, housed within a tan MDT Oryx chassis that provides a rigid one-piece aluminum platform. The receiver and barrel are finished in a matte black, with an MDT 20 MOA Picatinny scope rail mounted atop the receiver for long-range optic compatibility. The furniture includes a black textured Savage-branded pistol grip and an integrated stock with a rubber recoil pad, while the forend is equipped with a sling swivel stud and M-LOK mounting slots. Key markings on the barrel include -SAVAGE 64 CAL .22 LR ONLY – MFG. BY SAVAGE ARMS (CANADA) INC-, LAKEFIELD, ONT. CANADA – IMPORTED BY SAVAGE ARMS INC. WESTFIELD, MA. U.S.A. 01085, and BEFORE USE READ & UNDERSTAND OWNER’S MANUAL. The serial number 4183876 is stamped on the left side of the receiver. This rifle is being sold with no magazine. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in very good overall condition. The matte black metal finish shows only minor surface scuffs and handling marks, primarily along the length of the barrel. The tan finish on the MDT Oryx chassis is well-maintained with no significant dings or scratches visible. The black textured pistol grip remains in excellent condition with sharp texturing. The bore was not internally inspected, but the muzzle crown appears undamaged under the thread protector. The action cycles and appears to function correctly, although the firearm has not been live-fire tested. No magazine is present.
