Description
This lot consists of two distinct Lyman pistol reloading die sets housed in their original mid-century graphic packaging. The first set is a Lyman Ideal Pistol Die set designed specifically for the Tru-Line Jr. Press, with the side panel clearly marked for caliber .38 Special and the bullet mold number 358311. This orange and black box contains six individual component boxes labeled for a decapping and full-length resizing die, a seating die, an expanding die, a priming punch, a shell holder, and an accessory box featuring an illustration of the Speedy Tru-Line Jr. Turret Press. The second set is a Lyman All-American Pistol Reloading Die set designated for caliber .45 Auto, featuring a patriotic red, white, and blue theme. This set contains four inner boxes including a decapping and expanding die, a seating die, a Lyman priming punch die T, and a shell holder. The All-American set is also marked with the 7/8 x 14 reloading die standard. Key markings include Lyman Ideal Pistol Dies for Tru-Line Jr. Press and Lyman All-American Pistol Reloading Dies. Condition report:
Both outer cardboard boxes show moderate signs of age and shelf wear, including edge fraying, minor staining, and softening of the corners, but they remain structurally sound with legible graphics. The inner component boxes appear well-preserved and clean. While the individual dies are contained within the inner packaging and were not removed for full inspection, they appear to have been stored in a dry environment. The packaging retains vibrant colors and clear printed information.
