Description
This is a Remington Model 1100 semi-automatic shotgun chambered for 12 gauge 2 3/4 inch or shorter shells, optimized for field use. The firearm features a 26 inch blued steel barrel equipped with a ventilated rib and a single front bead sight. The receiver and bolt are adorned with factory scroll engravings on both sides, complementing the high-polish blued finish. The furniture consists of a two-piece wood stock and forend featuring a high-gloss finish and decorative pressed checkering. The buttstock is fitted with a Pachmayr White Line black rubber recoil pad for enhanced comfort. Key markings on the left side of the receiver include Remington Model-1100 and the serial number L621150V. The right side of the barrel is marked 12 GA. FOR 2 3/4 OR SHORTER SHELLS and IMP. CYL., indicating an improved cylinder choke. Markings on the left side of the barrel specify REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC., ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. along with patent numbers 2,675,638 – 2,719,375 – 3,200,710 – 3,201,886. Visible proof and inspection marks include an E in a circle, J, and R.E.P. inside an oval. Condition report:
The shotgun is in very good overall condition. The blued finish on the receiver and barrel is well-preserved, displaying only light handling wear and a few faint scratches. The wood stock and forend show minor surface dings and small compressions consistent with limited use, while the glossy finish remains largely intact and reflective. The bore is bright and clear, showing no signs of pitting or corrosion. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The recoil pad is properly seated and shows typical minor aging.
