Description
This factory-cased lot features a Sako Quad four-barrel interchangeable rimfire system, designed for use with the Sako Quad bolt action receiver. The set includes four blued steel barrels chambered in .17 HMR, .22 Win Mag, .22 LR, and .17 Mach 2, each fitted with a color-coded breech ring for rapid caliber identification. The collection is housed in a professional aluminum-style hard carrying case featuring custom-cut foam inserts for secure transport. Included accessories comprise the original Sako Quad owner’s manual, a black-handled T-style barrel-change hex tool, a pair of sling swivels in a sealed plastic bag, and a red Shot Lock brand cable lock with two keys. The barrels bear high-polish blued finishes and are extensively marked with factory stampings. Verbatim markings on the barrels include ONLY CAL. 17 HMR MADE IN FINLAND with serial number 012820, ONLY CAL. 22 Win. Mag. MADE IN FINLAND with serial number 012862, ONLY CAL. 22 LR MADE IN FINLAND with serial number 012935, and ONLY CAL. 17 Mach 2 MADE IN FINLAND with serial number 012768. Please note that this lot consists of the barrel set and accessories only; no rifle receiver or stock is included.
Condition report:
The barrels are in excellent, near-mint condition, appearing as new old stock with several still encased in original protective plastic sleeves and brown paper wraps. The factory bluing is deep and consistent across all four barrels with no visible thinning, scratches, or oxidation. The bores, while not fully inspected due to original packaging, appear bright and clean where visible at the breech and muzzle. The aluminum case is in very good condition with minor handling marks on the exterior and clean foam interior. The manual and accessories remain in unused condition.
