Description
A single professional-grade vintage butcher knife in a breaking or scimitar pattern manufactured by Foster Bros of Fulton, New York. The tool is constructed with a long, upwardly curved carbon steel blade designed for butchering large cuts of meat. It features a full tang design where the blade steel extends through the entire handle. The handle is composed of two wooden scales secured to the tang by three metal rivets. The blade contains a stamped maker mark that reads FOSTER BROS. A handwritten identification tag is included with the knife.

Condition report:
This knife is in antique, well-used condition. The carbon steel blade shows a heavy dark patina with significant surface oxidation and pitting throughout. The cutting edge has been sharpened multiple times, resulting in a modified profile from the original. The wooden handle scales remain securely attached but show darkening and wear consistent with age and professional utility.
