Description
This Sturm, Ruger & Co. New Model Super Blackhawk is a single-action revolver chambered in .44 Magnum, configured with an elongated 9.75-inch barrel featuring custom porting with dual rows of ventilation holes near the muzzle. The firearm is constructed with a brushed stainless steel finish and has been modified with a silver-tone Picatinny optic rail mounted across the top strap and barrel, which necessitated the removal of the factory front sight. It is fitted with black textured rubber Pachmayr grips marked MADE IN U.S.A. on the base. Verbatim markings include the serial number 84-97994 stamped on the right side of the frame, along with RUGER .44 MAGNUM CAL. and NEW MODEL SUPER BLACKHAWK. The barrel bears the transcription BEFORE USING GUN-READ WARNINGS IN INSTRUCTION MANUAL AVAILABLE FREE FROM STURM, RUGER & CO., INC. SOUTHPORT, CONN. U.S.A. The original factory front sight is missing from this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in good overall used condition. The brushed stainless steel finish exhibits light surface scratches and minor handling marks consistent with use. Minor oxidation is present on the hammer spur and several screw heads. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The black rubber Pachmayr grips show typical wear with minor scuffing to the textured surfaces. The Picatinny rail is securely mounted to the frame and barrel.
