Description
This Lyman All-American 10X Perma-Center is a vintage fixed-power rifle scope designed for precision target and benchrest shooting. The scope is built on a 1-inch main tube with a black finish and features an adjustable objective for parallax correction. It is equipped with a single, silver-toned knurled elevation turret on the central housing and a knurled ocular focus assembly featuring a silver-toned threaded section and lock ring. Verbatim markings on the central housing are transcribed as ALL-AMERICAN 10 X / PERMA⨁CENTER / LYMAN MADE IN U.S.A. accompanied by a registered trademark symbol. The objective ring features etched markings for 50 YD and 100 YD. This lot consists of one scope as pictured.
Condition report:
The external black finish exhibits moderate wear throughout, including various scuffs, scratches, and localized finish loss on the objective and ocular bells. The silver-toned components show light handling marks and minor oxidation. The adjustment rings for focus and parallax, as well as the elevation turret, appear to rotate smoothly through their range. While the lenses are free of significant external scratches or cracks, there is a visible accumulation of internal dust and light spotting within the optical path that would benefit from professional cleaning to restore optimal clarity.
