Description
This lot consists of 75 rounds of vintage 12-gauge shotgun ammunition, comprised of three 25-count boxes. The selection includes one box from Federal Cartridge Corp. and two boxes from Remington Arms Company, Inc. under the DuPont brand. The top Federal box is identified as Hi-Power Shot Shells and features a mallard duck illustration on the front; key markings include Federal Cartridge Corp. Minneapolis U.S.A., Smokeless Powder Waterproof Paper, and the model HP127 on the bottom flap with specifications for Velocity Equivalent 3-1/8 Drams Bulk and 1-1/8 Oz. Shot. The left Remington box is labeled Kleanbore Shur Shot Shells and Wetproof, with markings specifying Made in U.S.A. and load data RS9-4 Equiv. 3 1/4 – 1 1/8 – 4 for 2-5/8 inch shells. The right Remington box is labeled Kleanbore Nitro Express Extra Long Range and Wetproof, with markings indicating Equiv. 3-3/4 – 1-1/4 – 5c for 2-3/4 inch shells. All three boxes are protected by modern clear plastic shrink-wrap and appear to contain their original contents.
Condition report:
The exterior cardboard boxes exhibit moderate shelf wear consistent with age, including edge scuffing, surface soiling, and minor crushing to the corners of the Federal box. The shrink-wrap remains intact on all three items. The shotgun shells appear to be live vintage production with paper or early plastic hulls, though they have not been removed from the packaging or individually inspected for corrosion or primer degradation.
