Description
This lot comprises a Redding Series B Full Length (F.L.) two-die reloading set and a collection of 113 empty brass shell casings, both chambered for the .308 Norma Magnum cartridge. The die set is designed for use in standard 7/8-14 TPI reloading presses, compatible with systems such as those manufactured by RCBS. It is housed in its original green plastic Redding-Hunter box, which identifies the contents as a Series B, number 80258 set. The set includes a full-length sizing die equipped with a decapping pin and a bullet seating die, both constructed from steel with knurled gripping surfaces. Prominent markings on the box label include Redding-Hunter Incorporated, F.L. Die Set, 308 Norma Mag, and Series B 80258. The individual dies are stamped Redding and Redding 308 on their lower bodies. A small plastic bag containing spare parts is included within the case. The accompanying lot of 113 empty brass shell casings feature headstamps clearly marked 308 Norma MAGNUM. These casings are used and exhibit varied states of surface cleanliness, providing a substantial group of brass for reloading purposes.
Condition report:
The dies appear to be in good functional condition with clear, undamaged threads and a straight decapping pin. Minor surface oxidation and light surface rust are present on the knurled sections of the die bodies and the locking rings. The original green plastic storage box remains intact but shows shelf wear and some peeling or partially removed labels. The 113 brass shell casings are used; they show no visible signs of structural failure or major corrosion, though they exhibit varying degrees of surface tarnish and will require cleaning and standard preparation before reloading.
