Description
This lot comprises a group of 200 loose .22 Remington Jet centerfire cartridges, a caliber originally designed for use in the Smith and Wesson Model 53 revolver. These rounds are characterized by their distinctive steeply tapered brass cases and are loaded with jacketed soft-point bullets featuring exposed lead tips for controlled expansion. The metal finish of the cases shows natural brass with some surface oxidation and tarnish consistent with age. Key markings visible on the headstamps include the manufacturer code R-P and the caliber designation 22 REM JET transcribed verbatim from the base of the shells. The cartridges are provided loose in a clear plastic bag and do not include original factory retail packaging or boxes.
Condition report:
The brass casings display light to moderate surface tarnish and oxidation consistent with long-term storage, though they remain structurally intact without signs of significant corrosion or mechanical damage. The copper-jacketed bullets with lead soft tips show no significant corrosion or deformation. Primers appear clean, properly seated, and are in unfired condition. This ammunition is being sold as a collectible item and we have not function-tested it.
