Description
A collection of US Eisenhower one-dollar coins comprising Bicentennial 1776-1976 and 1977 issues. The group includes examples featuring the Denver (D) mint mark. Reverse designs include the Bicentennial Liberty Bell and moon motif and the standard Apollo 11 commemorative eagle-on-moon motif. The coins are struck in a copper-nickel clad composition. Each coin is individually housed in a clear circular plastic capsule. This series represents the final large-size dollar coins produced for circulation by the US Mint.
Condition report:
The coins are in uncirculated to lightly circulated condition. Surfaces show varying degrees of luster, typical contact marks, and scattered areas of dark toning or environmental spotting. The plastic capsules exhibit external wear and have small strips of translucent tape applied to the surfaces.
