Description
This Thompson/Center Contender is a versatile break-action, single-shot pistol set featuring a single frame and two interchangeable 10-inch barrels. The set includes a blued barrel chambered in 7mm T/CU, currently fitted with a wooden forend and a Simmons 4×32 Model #1085 scope on a mount marked Leupold. It also comes with extra barrel, a blued unit chambered in .44 Remington Magnum, which is equipped with an adjustable rear iron sight and a fixed front blade sight. The blued frame features factory engravings of a cougar and decorative scrollwork on both sides and is fitted with a checkered black synthetic pistol grip. Key markings include the serial number 281656 stamped on the top rear of the frame. The 7mm barrel is marked Thompson-Center Arms Rochester, N. H. and 7 MM T/CU, while the additional barrel is marked Thompson-Center Arms Rochester, N. H. and 44 Rem Mag. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on the frame and both barrels remains in good used condition, showing minor handling wear and a small scratch on the 7mm barrel. The factory cougar and scrollwork engravings on the frame are sharp and well-defined. Both bores are bright with strong, crisp rifling. The checkered black synthetic pistol grip and the wooden forend are in good condition with only light handling marks. The Simmons scope optics are clear, and the iron sights on the .44 Magnum barrel are intact. The break-action mechanism opens and locks securely.
