Description
This Winchester Model 06 is a pump-action repeating rifle chambered for .22 Short, Long, or Long Rifle cartridges. It is configured with a 20-inch round barrel and a full-length tubular magazine. The firearm features a blued finish that shows significant thinning and a pervasive brown patina along the barrel and magazine tube, with light surface speckling on the receiver. It is fitted with a smooth walnut straight-grip buttstock and a ribbed corncob style wood forend, both exhibiting minor dings and handling scratches. Sighting equipment consists of a bead front sight and an adjustable notch rear sight. The rifle is completed with a black checkered polymer buttplate featuring the Winchester trademark logo. Key markings include the manufacturer and model designation MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. NEW HAVEN. CONN. PAT. JUNE 26. 88. DEC. 6. 92. NOV. 27. 06. MAY 30. 11. -MODEL 06.- and the caliber marking 22 SHORT-LONG OR LONG RIFLE on the barrel. The upper tang is stamped WINCHESTER TRADE MARK MADE IN U.S.A. and the matching serial number 816671 is stamped on the underside of both the receiver and the frame. Winchester WP proof marks are present on the top of the barrel and receiver. The action appears to function correctly, though we have not function-tested this firearm. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The factory blued finish has largely thinned or transitioned to a plum-brown patina across the barrel and magazine assembly. The receiver retains some bluing in protected areas with light speckling and finish loss on high points. The wood furniture remains solid with original finish, showing scattered impressions and light scratches consistent with use. The bore was not inspected. The mechanical action cycles smoothly and the checkered buttplate is in very good condition.
