Description
This bolt action dart rifle system is built upon a Marlin Model 25N chassis and features an integrated upper barrel assembly designed for veterinary or wildlife capture applications. The lower blued barrel is marked The Marlin Firearms Co. North Haven, CT. U.S.A. Model 25N Micro-Groove Barrel Cal. 22 L.R. Only, while the upper projector barrel assembly is stamped Pneu-Dart Inc. Williamsport PA USA Model 193 No. 3 3 7 .50 Cal Dart. The receiver is marked with serial number 07634441 and features a JM proof mark. The firearm is mounted in a smooth wood stock with a textured black polymer Marlin buttplate and is equipped with a Tasco Silver Antler scope. Included with the lot are one detachable box magazine and a box of five Pneu-Dart Practice RDD Device – Type U 1.0 CC training darts. This specialized dart rifle retains its ability to fire standard .22 LR cartridges from the lower barrel, and the presence of the serialized firearm receiver dictates its legal status. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces show general handling wear and light scratches to the bluing. There is a noticeable patch of surface oxidation and light pitting on the muzzle end of the upper projector barrel. The smooth wood stock remains in good condition with scattered minor dings and handling marks consistent with field use. The bore of the lower barrel appears bright with well-defined rifling, and the action functions smoothly, though it has not been live-fire tested. The Tasco scope provides a clear sight picture with an intact duplex reticle. The detachable magazine shows finish wear, and the five training darts appear unused in their original cardboard packaging.
