Description
This Ruger New Model Blackhawk is a convertible single-action revolver chambered for .45 caliber ammunition. The firearm features a dual-cylinder configuration, enabling it to fire both .45 Colt and .45 Auto cartridges via the two included interchangeable cylinders. It is equipped with a 5.5-inch barrel and finished in a high-polish blued steel. The revolver is fitted with attractive laminated wood grips accented by silver-tone Ruger phoenix medallions. Sighting is comprised of a ramped front sight with a red-orange insert and an adjustable target-style rear sight. Verbatim markings on the right side of the frame include RUGER .45 CALIBER, NEW MODEL BLACKHAWK, and the serial number 38-54987. The barrel features the manufacturer name, address, and standard safety warning. This lot includes the original factory grey plastic hard case with a matching label indicating catalog number BN-455X and a printed instruction manual. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The revolver is in excellent overall condition, retaining nearly all of its original factory blued finish. A very faint turn line is visible on the primary cylinder, while the spare cylinder shows minimal signs of handling. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling. The single-action mechanism appears to function correctly with a crisp trigger pull and tight cylinder lockup. The laminated wood grips are free of significant wear or impact marks. The accompanying case and manual are well-preserved. We have not function-tested this firearm.
