Description
Remington Model 700 bolt action sporting rifle chambered in .243 Winchester. The firearm features a blued steel barrel fitted with a ramped front sight containing a gold-colored bead and an adjustable rear sight. The blued receiver is equipped with two-piece Weaver-style scope bases and a bolt with a knurled handle. The rifle is mounted in a high-gloss finished wood stock designed with a Monte Carlo comb, a raised cheekpiece, and pressed checkering on the pistol grip and forend. Additional features include two sling swivel studs and a black checkered buttplate. Key markings include the manufacturer and model designation Remington MODEL 700 along with the serial number 346155 on the left side of the receiver. Barrel markings specify REMINGTON ARMS CO. INC., ILION, N.Y. MADE IN U.S.A. with patent numbers and the caliber marking .243 WIN. on the left side, and a proof mark R.E.P on the right side near the breech. Condition report:
The original blued finish on the barrel and receiver remains largely intact with some thinning at the muzzle and high points of the action. The high-gloss wood stock shows scattered minor scratches, dings, and surface abrasions consistent with regular field use but remains free of cracks. The bore is not clearly visible in the provided images and has not been inspected. The bolt cycles smoothly and the action appears to function correctly, though it has not been live-fire tested.
