Description
This lot features a single Daisy Model No. 25 pump-action air rifle chambered for .177 caliber BBs. This model was a staple of the Daisy lineup and features a full-length metal barrel assembly and receiver with a blued finish. The furniture consists of a brown marbled plastic buttstock with molded checkering and a circular Daisy logo near the grip, paired with a matching ribbed pump-action forearm handle. The rifle is equipped with a fixed blade front sight and a flip-up adjustable rear leaf sight. Prominent markings stamped on the top of the barrel include the model designation MODEL NO. 25 and the registration number REG. NO. L040609. The manufacturer and location are identified as DAISY MFG. CO. ROGERS, ARK. U.S.A., followed by patent markings PATS. 2,724,897 and 2,758,586. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.
Condition report:
The blued metal finish exhibits significant wear, thinning, and widespread surface oxidation with patches of light surface rust throughout the receiver and barrel assembly. The brown marbled plastic stock and forearm show various scuffs, scratches, and minor finish wear consistent with age and field use, though they remain structurally intact. The bore shows dust and light surface oxidation. The pump action and trigger appear to move freely, but the air rifle has not been function-tested with projectiles.
