Description
A single heavy-duty utilitarian field knife featuring full-tang construction. The tool consists of a curved steel blade and two wooden handle scales secured by three metal rivets. The rivets appear to be of a brass or copper alloy. On one side of the wooden handle, there are faint, incised vertical marks above the center rivet, though these are too degraded to be transcribed or identified. No factory stamps or maker marks are visible on the steel blade.
Condition report:
The steel blade shows heavy oxidation with a dark, mottled patina and extensive pitting throughout. The cutting edge is dull and exhibits signs of significant field use. The wooden handle scales are intact with surface scratches, darkening, and wear consistent with age. The metal rivets show visible green oxidation (verdigris).
