Description
This lot comprises a variety of vintage advertising and hunting-related items. Included is a large cardboard shipping or display box from the Jack W. Trimble Game Ranch in Afton, Oklahoma. The front of the box features a brown-tone illustration of two ring-neck pheasants and is printed with Oklahoma Ring Neck Pheasant and Permit No. 1. There are multiple unopened retail packages of HS Hunter’s Specialties Field Dressing Gloves, copyright 2013, which each contain a pair of shoulder-length and wrist-length disposable gloves. A small vintage product box for America’s No. 1 Gun and Reel Lubricant is included, marketed for gun and reel maintenance as well as resizing cartridge cases. Also present is a vintage souvenir matchbook for Chicago’s All Girl Revue, specifically the Parisienne Revue at the French Casino, featuring stylized graphics and printed matchsticks.
Condition report:
The Oklahoma pheasant box shows signs of heavy age-related wear, including overall toning, foxing, staining, and crushing to the cardboard. The lubricant box displays shelf wear and surface scuffs. The glove kits are in original, unopened retail packaging. The vintage matchbook is in used condition with one match missing and shows minor creasing and edge wear to the cardstock.
