Description
This lot consists of a collection of 20 cartridges of Remington Kleanbore centerfire smokeless ammunition chambered in .244 Remington. These 90 grain pointed soft point cartridges are intended for high-speed rifle applications and are presented in an original green and red Remington cardboard box. The cartridges in this lot feature mixed headstamps, including examples marked R-P 244 REM, PETERS 244 REM, and NORMA Re 244. Key box markings include the product name Remington Kleanbore and the caliber designation 244 Remington Hi-Speed. Additional printed text specifies 90 Gr. Pointed Soft Point Bullet and 20 Center Fire Smokeless Cartridges. The box also bears the catalog number 1244 and the DuPont oval logo. The cartridges are primarily seated in a standard internal cardboard divider and exhibit the characteristic tapered case design of the .244 Remington caliber.
Condition report:
The cardboard box is in fair to good condition, showing moderate shelf wear with scuffed edges, rounded corners, and minor paper loss. A prominent area of black marker scribble is present on the front face of the box. The ammunition cartridges appear to be in good vintage condition; the brass cases show natural aged patina and minor surface tarnish from storage. The lead tips of the pointed soft point bullets remain mostly intact with some minor oxidation. The primers are undented, indicating the rounds are live and unspent.
