Description
One Hamilton Watch Company Railway Special pocket watch, grade 992B, with its original cardboard storage box. The watch features a white dial with bold black Arabic numerals, a sub-seconds dial at the six o’clock position, and is marked HAMILTON RAILWAY SPECIAL. The hands are black-finished steel. The winding crown is embossed with the text HAMILTON RAILROAD. According to the original packaging, the watch contains a 21 jewel movement and is housed in a 10 karat gold-filled case. The storage box features printed graphics designating the manufacturer as the Railroad Timekeeper of America and identifies the location as Lancaster, Pennsylvania, U.S.A. The box labels further specify the model as Grade 992B and 10K Gold Fill.
Condition report:
The watch case back shows significant surface scratching and evidence of wear from use. The crystal and dial appear to be in good condition. The vintage cardboard box exhibits age-related toning, light staining, and wear to the edges and corners. The internal movement and mechanical working order have not been tested.
