Description
This is a Marlin Model 1894 lever-action rifle chambered in the classic .45 Colt caliber, configured with a 20 inch barrel and a full-length tubular magazine. The rifle features a deep blued finish on the receiver, barrel, and magazine tube, complemented by a checkered American walnut stock and forend. Technical specifications include a standard side-eject receiver, an offset hammer spur extension for scope use, and a Bushnell Banner adjustable-objective scope mounted to a rail on the receiver. Key markings on the top of the barrel include THE MARLIN FIREARMS CO. NORTH HAVEN, CT. U.S.A. and MODEL 1894 – CAL. 45 COLT. A circled REP proof mark is visible on the right side of the barrel at the breech. The serial number 91085678 is clearly stamped on the left side of the receiver. The furniture consists of a pistol-grip stock with a textured recoil pad featuring the Marlin horse and rider logo. Included with the rifle is its original factory cardboard box with matching serial number labels from Cabela’s. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The rifle is in excellent overall condition, retaining nearly all of its original high-polish blued finish with only very minor handling marks on the receiver. The walnut stock and forend are in similarly excellent condition with sharp, clean checkering and minimal signs of wear. The bore is bright with strong, well-defined rifling. The lever action appears to function smoothly and correctly, though we have not function-tested the firearm with live ammunition. The Bushnell optic features clear glass and an intact duplex reticle. The rubber buttplate shows some white surface blooming typical of the material\'s age. The original box is intact but shows moderate shelf wear and some tearing at the end flaps.
