Description
This lot consists of 40 rounds of vintage ammunition manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms Company of New Haven, Connecticut. The cartridges are chambered in .30 Government Model 1906, also known as .30-06 Springfield, and are loaded with 150-grain pointed full patch bullets. The ammunition is housed in two original two-piece cardboard boxes featuring the catalog number K3055C. Markings on the labels specify these are smokeless cartridges with Staynless primers, adapted for use in the U.S. Springfield Rifle Model 1906 and Winchester Rifle Model 54. Verbatim markings include Manufactured by the WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. and .30 Government Model 1906 Pointed Full Patch—150 Gr. The individual cartridge headstamps are marked with W R A at the top and 30-06 at the bottom.
Condition report:
The ammunition exhibits significant age-related condition issues, with the brass cases showing heavy dark oxidation and surface tarnishing. Notable green verdigris and white corrosion are visible around the case necks and primer pockets. The two-piece cardboard boxes show moderate wear, including surface staining, edge fraying, and minor tearing to the paper labels. Despite the wear, the boxes remain intact and the printing is generally clear.
