Description
This lot comprises a collection of vintage Remington rimfire ammunition, totaling 270 rounds contained within six original cardboard boxes. The assembly includes five boxes of standard Remington Hi-Speed Kleanbore .22 Long Rifle cartridges and one box of Remington Hi-Speed Kleanbore .22 Long Rifle Hollow Point cartridges. Each cartridge is constructed with a brass case and a lead bullet. The distinctive red and green packaging prominently features the new Remington logo alongside text specifying Hi-SPEED, KLEANBORE, 22 LONG RIFLE, 50 RIM FIRE CARTRIDGES, and MADE IN U.S.A. Visual inspection of the cartridge headstamps reveals a stamped U or the manufacturer mark Rem. Per user-provided data, this lot contains a total of 270 rounds, indicating some boxes may be partial.
Condition report:
The cardboard packaging is in fair to good vintage condition, exhibiting varying degrees of scuffing, edge wear, fraying, and minor staining consistent with age and storage. One box shows significant old tape residue and surface loss on one end flap. The brass cartridge cases show a natural aged patina and some surface tarnish. The lead bullets exhibit visible white oxidation and surface corrosion, commonly referred to as lead bloom. The ammunition has not been tested for functionality.
