Description
This Pietta 1873 S.A. Frontier is a single-action revolver chambered in .357 Magnum, imported and branded by Traditions Performance Firearms. It features a compact 3.5-inch barrel equipped with a fixed blade front sight and an integrated ejector rod. The firearm is finished in a bright polished nickel and is fitted with birdhead-style wood grips featuring attractive laser-cut checkering and smooth borders. This model utilizes a traditional single-action mechanism and includes a modern transfer bar safety system. Key markings include the caliber designation CAL. .357MAG on the left side of the barrel, while the underside is marked TRADITIONS – OLDSAYBROOK – CT PIETTA – ITALY and READ OWNER’S MANUAL BEFORE USE. The bottom of the frame is stamped with the serial number E072581, a boxed CS mark, and Italian CIP proof marks. The revolver is accompanied by its original matching factory box and a Pietta instruction manual. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The polished nickel finish is in excellent condition, displaying a high luster with only very minor handling marks and a faint turn line on the cylinder. The bore is bright with sharp, well-defined rifling throughout. The action appears to function correctly with a crisp trigger pull and tight cylinder lock-up, although we have not function-tested this firearm with live ammunition. The birdhead grips are in excellent condition with sharp checkering and no notable dings or scratches. The original factory box shows some light shelf wear and minor edge compression but is otherwise well-preserved.
