Description
This Winchester Model 75 is a bolt-action target rifle chambered in .22 Long Rifle designed for precision shooting. The barrel features a heavy profile and is marked in two lines with MADE IN U.S.A. WINCHESTER REPEATING ARMS CO. — MODEL 75 — WINCHESTER — and NEW HAVEN, CONN. — PATENT PENDING — .22 LONG RIFLE — TRADE MARK –. The receiver is stamped WINCHESTER — TRADE MARK — and bears the serial number 23930. Circular WP proof marks are present on both the receiver and the barrel. The rifle is mounted in a walnut stock featuring a semi-pistol grip and a wide target forend with an integrated accessory rail on the underside, showing expected handling marks such as scratches and dings. It is currently fitted with a Lyman aperture rear sight and a Simmons scope mounted on a long black rail. The metal finish has worn to a consistent greyish-brown patina with scattered surface oxidation and areas of light pitting. The rifle includes one detachable curved ten-round box magazine and a checkered metal buttplate. The action appears to function correctly, although the firearm has not been function-tested with live ammunition. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The metal surfaces show significant wear and have developed a greyish-brown patina with visible surface oxidation and light pitting throughout. The walnut stock is solid but displays numerous scratches and dings consistent with field use. The bore was not inspected. The action cycles and appears to function. The Simmons scope has clear optics, while the Lyman sight shows some surface oxidation. The magazine is in good working order with minor finish wear.
