Description
This lot consists of 200 rounds of rimfire ammunition contained in four original 50-count two-piece cardboard boxes. The cartridges are chambered in .22 Long and feature silver-toned cases paired with wax-coated, copper-plated round-nose bullets. The packaging displays a distinctive yellow and blue color palette with red and black text. Verbatim markings on the front panels include the cursive Western logo, Super-X, long range, 22 LONG, 50 RIM FIRE CARTRIDGES, EXTRA CLEAN, and WAX COATED. The reverse of the boxes specifies Double Action Smokeless Powder and states that Bullets plated with Lubaloy (lubricating alloy) by a patented process, accompanied by the production code K1216R. Each cartridge is finished with a specialized headstamp featuring a diamond-shaped border enclosing the word SUPER, all superimposed over a large stylized X.
Condition report:
The cardboard boxes show typical signs of age and shelf wear, including frayed corners, minor edge rubbing, and light staining; one box retains an old hand-written price mark on the front face. The ammunition appears to be in good, live condition, with the silver-toned cases remaining bright. The copper plating on the projectiles shows some very light, scattered surface oxidation consistent with long-term storage, but they remain structurally sound.
