Description
This lot features a Thompson/Center Arms Contender single-shot break-action pistol chambered in .30-30 Winchester, which comes with an extra barrel chambered in .22 Hornet. Both barrels are constructed of blued steel with an octagonal profile and are equipped with ramped front blade sights and micro-adjustable rear sights. The blued receiver displays factory scroll engraving and a circular medallion on both sides depicting a pouncing cougar. The firearm is fitted with a checkered walnut pistol grip and matching walnut forend, featuring a metal grip cap bearing the TC logo. Verbatim markings on the barrels include Thompson : Center Arms Rochester, N.H. alongside the caliber designations 30-30 Win and 22 Hornet. The serial number 29202 is stamped on the top of the frame tang behind the hammer. The action is operated by pulling back on the trigger guard to unlock the barrel. Note – All firearms require a federal 4473 background check.
Condition report:
The blued finish on both the receiver and the barrels is in good condition overall, showing light handling wear and some minor surface scratches. The walnut grip and forend are well-preserved with minor scuffs and small dings consistent with use, while the checkering remains sharp and defined. Bores were not inspected. The action appears to function correctly, although we have not function-tested this firearm.
