Description

This Crosman Arms Company Model 101 is a pneumatic pump-action air rifle chambered in .22 caliber. It features a single-shot bolt-action design with a rear pull-knob cocking mechanism and a wooden forearm that functions as the pump handle. The rifle is equipped with a round barrel and a lower compression cylinder held together by metal bands. The metal surfaces are finished in black paint, which exhibits significant wear, flaking, and chipping throughout the barrel, cylinder, and receiver, revealing the brass construction beneath. The furniture consists of a one-piece wooden buttstock and a separate wooden pump forearm, finished with a metal buttplate. Sighting is provided by a fixed front blade and an adjustable rear leaf sight. Key markings include a circular medallion on the left side of the receiver transcribed verbatim as CROSMAN ARMS COMPANY MADE IN U.S.A. PATENTED ROCHESTER, N.Y. surrounding the company logo. We have not function-tested this air rifle. Note – As an antique or black powder firearm, this item does not require a background check.

Condition report:

The exterior metal finish shows approximately 45 percent remaining black paint, with heavy flaking and scratches throughout the barrel and compression tube exposing the underlying brass. The wooden stock and forearm are in fair to good condition with scattered dings, surface scratches, and a small patch of white residue on the right side of the butt. The action appears to function correctly in terms of the bolt and pump movement, though it has not been tested for its ability to hold air pressure. The bore was not inspected.
