Description
This lot consists of 70 rounds of .25-20 Winchester centerfire rifle ammunition manufactured by Winchester and Remington. The collection includes 49 cartridges from the Winchester Super X line, which are loaded with 86-grain jacketed soft-point bullets seated in brass cases bearing the headstamp W-W 25-20 WIN. These rounds are contained within their original silver and red box with a white styrofoam tray, which is marked 25-20 WIN 86 GRAIN JACKETED SOFT POINT and designated for varmint and predator use. The remaining 21 rounds are Remington High Velocity cartridges featuring 86-grain soft-point bullets in brass cases with the R-P 25-20 WIN headstamp. These cartridges are housed in a black plastic tray within a green and yellow Remington box marked 25-20 WIN 86 GR SOFT POINT and identified by the product code R25202. Both sets of ammunition are intended for use in various rifles chambered for the .25-20 Winchester caliber, a traditional small-game and varmint cartridge. The packaging for both manufacturers indicates they were made in the USA.
Condition report:
The ammunition is in overall good condition, with the brass cases displaying a mostly bright finish and scattered light surface oxidation or tarnish consistent with age and storage. The bullets appear correctly seated and exhibit no significant corrosion. The Winchester silver and red box shows moderate shelf wear with some scuffing and minor corner compression. The Remington green and yellow box displays significant wear, including tearing at the flaps, edge fraying, and older tape repairs. Both the styrofoam and plastic trays are intact. We have not function-tested this ammunition, but all rounds appear to be live factory cartridges.
