Description
This lot consists of three vintage boxes of Remington Kleanbore Express .32 Winchester Special ammunition, featuring a combined total of 17 live rounds and 43 empty brass casings. The collection includes one box (catalog number 5032) originally designated for 170-grain Mushroom Core-Lokt bullets and two boxes (catalog number 5132) designated for 170-grain Soft Point Core-Lokt bullets. The cartridges and casings display a variety of manufacturer markings and headstamps, including REM-UMC 32 WIN SPL, R-A 32 W S, R-P 32 WIN SPL, and W-W 32 WIN SPL, indicating production across multiple decades. The trademark green boxes feature red and white lettering with the DuPont logo, typical of mid-20th-century Remington packaging; one box retains a vintage retail price sticker of $4.05.
Condition report:
The cardboard boxes show significant age-related wear, including fraying at the corners, partial tears, and localized paper loss on the faces. The internal trays are present but show some wear and staining. The brass casings and live cartridges exhibit a varying degree of surface oxidation, tarnish, and darkening consistent with their age. The primers on the live rounds are intact, though their functionality cannot be guaranteed.
